ESSAY
You class has watched a documentary about the need for nations to fund space exploration. You have made the notes below:

Advantages of spending public money on space exploration:

countries work together to further our understanding of the universe
we may discover raw materials.
possible new living space for the world's growing population.

Some opinions expressed in the documentary:

It's human nature to want to understand where we come from.
We should stop exploiting natural resources.
The world's growing population needs further space to live.

Write an essay discussing TWO of the advantages given for space exploration in your notes You should explain which reason is most important, giving reasons in support of your answer.

RITA HAYWORTH & SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION - FULL NOVEL

It's been two weeks since we've last had to read any of the above novella by Stephen King, but that doesn't mean it's been forgotten. You're already through 70% of the story, so that means there's not long to go. Over the next few weeks I have other writings/readings I'd prefer we focus on, yet this is not to suggest that we're giving up on this book - it's a great tale and one that deserves to be read, and I'd hate to deprive you of any chance of getting to the end and seeing what happens to Andy and Red.

Because of this, I've attached a link to OneDrive where you can download a PDF version of the novella and lose yourself in it during your leisure time, and no longer have to think of it as homework. I'm glad the majority of you've enjoyed it so far, and I hope you get a kick out of the final few chapters :)
